REPRISING
a character you originally created a decade ago is not something which falls to
many actors.
But it has happened to Tony Sidoli of the Company of Ten who took the part of George Stanley 10 years ago when the St Albans drama group put on Ray Cooney's Run for Your Wife.
He is taking the same role in the Company of Ten's next production Caught in the Net which Ray Cooney wrote as a sequel to Run for Your Wife.
It continues the story of John Smith, the bigamist taxi driver, who now has not only two wives to cope with - one in Wimbledon and the other in Streatham - but also two teenage children.
And even though Tony is reprising his role and the characters are the same, there is no need to know the earlier play to enjoy the sequel which is complete in itself.
Caught in The Net is Ray Cooney's own favourite play and it is being performed at the Abbey Theatre in St Albans from Friday 11 November until Saturday, 19 November.
Tickets are available from the box office on 01727 857861 and further details can be obtained from the website on www.abbeytheatre.org.uk
