FARCE
comes bang up to date in Ray Cooney's Caught in the Net which is the Company of
Ten's next production at the Abbey Theatre in St Albans.
The sequel to Run for your Wife, which was a huge hit in the 1980s, it is regarded as even funnier than the original. John Smith, a taxi driver, has two wives, one in Streatham and the other in Wimbledon, as well as two teenage children who agree to meet.
John, aided and abetted by his lodger and his doddering Dad, embarks on a complex and hilarious plan to keep them apart.
Caught in the Net has been described by critics as "a sheer joy from beginning to end." It runs from next Friday, November 11, until Saturday, November 19, and tickets are available from the box office on 01727 857861.
